Then Pep has to find a way to fit both of them.

Not sure which player/position will be sacrificed.

He can play as wing at either left or right, but i think his best position will always be at central.

Unfortunately he will occupy the same position that Haaland had and that will cause some issue.

this is not true he played like a inverted striker in most games with messi as a 9 and alvarez often moved to the left wing. he can easily play with another striker in the team. Infact I will say he actually better playing with another striker rather than alone. In some of his best river plate games alvarez played as a second striker next to a true 9.

In many games he would track back at one of the wings, but when Argentina had the ball he always shifted to the number 9 position. He can play on the wings, but his best position is central. But I would also argue that his best position isn't as a number 9, but rather as a second striker, so I think he would work wonderfully with Haaaland.

yes that is what I meant. didn't say he will hug the touch line, more so drift into the left wing and then from there move centrally. also think he is better as a second striker rather than waiting in the box. he needs touches of the ball so different from haaland in that sense

When Julian first arrived in Manc last summer he was in the middle of a tabloid-driven story claiming his torrid affair with a middle-aged cosmetic surgery queen on the fringes of Argentine celebrity. He survived that ... barely.

Well, once again Julian will arrive in Manchester in the middle of fresh Argie tabloid drama. A viral video of his GF using her school teacher voice to organize some youngsters for a souvenir photo sent the internet defenestration squad into hyper mode over her tone with the kids. There were a MILLION finger-wagging comments on her most recent instagram pic, for instance. They even organized a change.org petition for Juli to break up with her. She's had to respond on social media to explain the context. They were mostly her schoolkids [she's a PE teacher] and Julian was doing her a solid after she arranged the group to take a photo. It was 2am outside her family's home where they had been celebrating Qatar and Santa. Cross your fingers our Juli can survive the teen cancellation squad's attempt to ruin his Christmas de Mundial.

Saw an interview and Pep said he’s expected back after the new years eve game. He came back early. Great to see. Would love him on the bench tomorrow and get a big cheer from the faithful.
That's probably where I saw it. Can't honestly see him being ready for the bench tomorrow. Though, as you said, it would be great.
