Play Foden next to him with both as double false 9s, probably a better way to manage the loss of Haaland.

Both can play off each other and are good at scoring and pressing, but not quite capable of being a focal point traditional 9.

Pep also recently called up Borges and Mebude to training, there could be something to going back to wide classical wingers who can send crosses in to 2 options who can play up top.

Even if they aren't used, I still think double false 9 is a good idea.

Brilliant tonight. His pressing is something else - not just running about but it’s an effective press and he seems to win the ball an awful lot.

His finishing and movement is great but what’s surprised me is his passing and vision. Really impressive.

Would like to see him play with Haaland more so he isn’t just living off scrappy sub appearances and the occasional start up front when Erling is out.

Timely second half for Julián. He could start doubting himself if things didn't go his way.

It's strange to see him so stale between the opposing center backs and barely touch the ball. In River he used to get a lot more involved in the buildup. I don't know if it's a Pep indication or him just not finding his place on the team yet. Hopefully he fixes that because when he gets the ball on his feet, he will deliver 99% of the time.

He's got that Tevez energy and Aguero finishing. Not a bad mix.

Rare to see a striker take the ball around the keeper these days. Belting finish. And that assist for Rico’s goal was fantastic. Great to see. I’ll watch the WC to watch him, if for few others.
