All about levels. Neither Jesus nor Alvarez are top quality players. They've not been anywhere near as good for City as Alvaro Negredo was. Both have been hyped beyond belief.

He started the season brilliantly, but had to step in when others were injured. For me he is a huge upgrade from Jesus, who has been average at best since he left. He just needs a summer break and will come good again next season.
Needs to be played more in his position as well, or needs more time learning the new position. I have no doubt that this thread will be filled with criticism, but I thought he was quitely fantastic as he usually is,
I don't understand some fans. This guy is one of the best young footballers in the world. Full stop. There is a reason Pep plays him all over the pitch out of position all the time. He believes he is good enough to get it anywhere eventually. He is, although I prefer him as a striker as it is. 30 G+A (every 111 mins) and a lot of it out of position this season.
