Just seen this, fuck me £82m for Alvarez who cost us £14m, this is what happens when you constantly win trophies as we do.

The right move for all parties, as good as his contribution was, he was never going to become the #1 striker, and I always felt the attacking midfielder role was always a bit of a square peg/round hole situation. We can find someone better at that AM role.

From a lifestyle perspective, I bet he and his family can’t wait to settle into life in the sun in Madrid. Wish them all the best.
