That goal at Fulham will live long in the memory

His song was brilliant, criminally underused

His family sat in the box behind my seat in 201, seemed to be thoroughly down to earth decent people just like the man himself.

The right move for all parties, as good as his contribution was, he was never going to become the #1 striker, and I always felt the attacking midfielder role was always a bit of a square peg/round hole situation. We can find someone better at that AM role.

From a lifestyle perspective, I bet he and his family can’t wait to settle into life in the sun in Madrid. Wish them all the best.
