194.5m losses 2010/2011

The bigger story is why does a club has to spend 300m+ to have a chance of winning the league!! It is never questioned when the rags Chelsea and Liverpool have been doing it for the last 15 years+

Season ticket revenues/gate receipts - £20m - CHECK

I have asked this question earlier on this forum aswell but never got a satisfactory answer . Maybe those blues who are from Manchester may throw some light on this . Liverpool is not as big as Manchester and liverpool are not in CL aswell . Then how do they generate around 40m - 50 m whereas we despite having a bigger stadium only generate 20 mil . Rags only have 30 k more than us but they generate 125 mil !! i understand higher prices in london but why do we generate so less compared to Liverpud and rags :( .
for the rags it's hospitality/premium seats. They have over 8,000 whereas we have no more than 2,000. Their premium seats bring in about 60% of their revenue. Also the rags charge a lot more per seat and there is much greater price differentiation between different parts of the ground. We're starting to do that now so ticket revenues will be creeping up but to match them we need a far bigger hospitality offering than we have at the moment.

Liverpool charge a lot more for season tickets than we do.

Without looking into it I am not sure that's true any more. There are a very small number of seats in the North Stand which are cheap, but the vast majority of match-day seats at City are now priced around £38. It varies a little, but there can't be much difference now between City and Utd's match-day pricing. It will be different for Cup games where City have to reduce prices to ensure a decent crowd.

We have around 40,000 season tickets (priced at around £28 per game on average)

3,000 goes to the away fans.

That leaves only 4,000 seats to be sold on a match by match basis (probably less when you consider comps and hospitality).

The SSN Billionaires Club is on now. Pretty much as expected so far...City are doing it the wrong way.

This loss is being mentioned in nearly every City article now it seems, no matter how unrelated it might be.

"David Silva trains in a week when City announced 195mil losses."

"Carlos Tevez due back in England as City announce 195mil losses."

etc.
