1980's City centre pub help?

Are you talking about the cyprus tavern ? the tiny little boozer on Portland st.
didnt realise it was a rough house..

Cyprus Tavern was on Princes St opposite the Old Garrett, the little pub on Portland St is the Circus Tavern and is run by a man from Cyprus. !!

Anyone remember the one in Picc Gardens by the old bus depot, underneath the Hotel.(or near it as I remember)
Had a side door and also a downstairs bar,going back to the late 60s and early 70,s.Always a City pub in those days even when the rags were at home they never ventured near !!
Used to meet up with Mark Bitner and about a dozen of us.
Ahhhhh,great times !!

Anyone remember the Imperial ? It was just across the road from the Brunswick.

Yeah, I do mate, used to wag it from a course I was on when I joined the post, a few of us playing pool, drinkin' Fosters and listenin' to the Roses on the jukebox.

Oh to be 18 again !!!
