Hopefully they won't ban him for 3 games.

If we go through to the last 8, we are likely to play there one of the big favourites. Even the last 16 may be tricky if we draw Simeone's Atleti. Incredibly daft from Walker.

That said, if both Cancelo and Zinchenko are on form, our build-up and attacking play may be better with Cancelo at RB and Zinchenko at LB. Let's hope they are on form in 2-3 months, or even in April if Walker is banned for 3 games.

It was daft, hopefully it doesn't affect us in the knockouts.

Of all the players who could have done it though, Kyle has more than enough credit in the bank.

He's having a great season, he looked like he needed a rest tonight tbh.
He has more than enough credit in the bank is bollocks. Fair dos if it were a genuine accident leading to a goal etc, but, he knew what he was doing and what the probable consequence would be. He has now, through a deliberate act of thuggery, weakened us in a major knockout game. No amount of credit exists for that imo.

We may get away with it and get through the first knockout round without him, but to try and palm it off saying, he has been good for us previously, doesn't sit right.

It's him doing brainless shit like this several times a season that stops him being mentioned as one of the best RB's of the last decade. He is a class defender but you know every so often he'll either do a brainfart, give away a needless penalty or see red like he did last night. Elite athlete but an absolute smooth brain.

He is regularly named among the best RBs of the last decade.

Bad game last night. First genuinely bad game he's had in about 18 months. One of the most consistent performers under Pep since we signed him. I can forgive him pretty easily. Stupid decision to kick out, obviously, but everyone's allowed one of them each season. Humans are stupid, they do stupid things, even when they're footballers. He'll come back wiser and stronger, like he always does.

He was bad vs West Ham as well. Probably their best attacker on the day. Hopefully just a blip.

Walker does have one of those performances in him every season but on the whole he has been playing exceptionally well and seems to have improved his delivery into the box as well

You think he's better than trent and reece James? I've said it before and I'll say it again. He has pace. His positioning is terrible, his passing and crossing is terrible. If he didn't have pace he'd be nowhere near this team

His passing is far from terrible. He created a few chances last night alone for Grealish with cross-field balls. He does it regularly and doesn't get the credit he deserves for that side of his game. It's a lazy opinion to just call him fast. Like when people say the same about Mbappe - or anybody fast.

His positioning and passing are fucking phenomenal.

I hate this idea that Pep only selects the most intelligent, clever, technically gifted players for his team... except Kyle Walker who's thick as fuck and only gets picked because he knows how to run fast. It's bollocks. Kyle's just as tactically gifted as the rest of the players we have - it's why he's got over 200 appearances under one of the most tactically demanding managers of all time.
