Walker is of that age where you do start to worry. At the beginning of each season, you wonder to yourself, "Is this when his legs will start to go?"

He's just so critical for us in those high-level games, especially in the Champions League. Look at how badly we faded when he had to come off in the quarter and semi second legs last season. Atletico were cutting through us down that side, and should have forced extra time. Madrid only grew into the game after Walker limped off, and their first goal came from the right side.

He's also the only fullback in the world who genuinely strikes fear into Mbappe's heart. Mbappe took one glance at him last November and decided to switch sides, never even trying to run at Walker once.

We just need to squeeze a season or two more out of his legs. That's the most we can fairly expect of him.
Then maybe we should be playing him less in games v the Villas and Bournemouths and saving him for the PSGs and Real Madrids where we absolutely need him, not as some inverted FB, but as a normal wide FB against Mbappe and Vinicius, Jr., etc. That's how he made his bones as one of the best RBs in the world, not as an inverted playmaker/extra mid to stop the counter. JMO.

It will be hard for him to fit in seamlessly with us, against one of the most dangerous attacks in the PL, after so few days training with Pep though!
We may not have a choice. He's played against Coman, Sane, and Gnabry many times as far as pace and Lewandowski and Muller as far as inside talent. Spurs are dangerous, but they're not Bayern. Let's hope for the best...

Walker's injuries may force our hand in January...We'll probably try to sign a FB.

Any idea how long Walker is out for or is it just a niggle and they’ve decided it’s best to leave him out of this game tomorrow..
Can't remember the exact wording but I think in Pep's press conference he said he's a doubt up to the international break.

Hopefully not to bad for John and Kyle and just leaving then home to rest up for spurs and get that extra recovery. We've done it a few times for champions leauge games and you'd see them in starting line up the weekend. Fingers crossed

He and the rest of our defence were shit in the loss to Spurs at our place last season. I think it was Walker who was easily beaten by Kane for the headed winner.

Pep Guardiola on the severity of John Stones and Kyle Walker's injuries: "John is not much, Kyle not much too, but I don’t know if he’s ready for Saturday or [Borussia] Dortmund or Wolves after the international break... [Muscular?] Yes..."
