So much of this team's success comes down to character and Walker has it in spades. On a team like City it's inevitable that pretty much everybody is going to have a decent spell on the bench. It's happened with everybody not named KDB, Gundogan, Haaland and Rodri but outside of Cancelo (I bet he's loving life right now btw) they've all responded by digging in, getting better and working to get their spot back. Every season starts out with the media drumming up some so-called static in the locker room because so and so doesn't think he's being used enough. But here they are on the brink of greatness with guys like Foden, Mahrez, Alvarez and Laporte on the bench but all of them step up when they're called on. And if you look back all of them (and many others) have played a major role in getting City to where they are.
