2 | Kyle Walker - 2024/25

The problem is that he still thinks he’s got the pace that he’s so clearly lost. Getting tired him of him jogging the first 5 or 6 paces of every foot race, thinking he’ll be able to overhaul his opponent like he always has done in the past, and then failing to catch them. Got the brains of a rocking horse
Yep, he used to do this as a bit of a showboat - always thought it

With the way he is playing at the moment, I don't think even the Saudi teams would be interested.

Sheffield United in the Championship beckons.

He's done, its awful how fast it's happened to him but the writings been on the wall a while now, he's constantly messing up his positioning, doesn't know when to put a challenge in anymore and hasn't even got that burst of pace he once had. Will always go down as a top top player for us but won't be sad to see him go at the end of the season, the time is right.

He seems to cede ground to negate the chance of his opponent cutting back on the inside. Then when they've committed to the outside, he's used to turning the afterburners on and mowing them down in a few paces.

Trouble now is of course, the afterburners are becoming no more and all of a sudden he looks out of his depth. He's still quick, but his pace can't save him anymore in those situations when someone has the run on him. Very lazy way of defending though unfortunately, as it shows up his poor decision making and inability to read the play.
