If we had other fit defenders, he wouldn't be starting - captain or not.

He's been great over the years but he seems to be losing both his pace and his concentration.

I'd rather see a kid be given a chance - at least when a developing player makes a mistake there's a chance he'll learn from it and we'll benefit later on.

I have seen many good posts from you. I respect those views regarding Covid. He made a big mistake.

I know only too well, at beginning of Covid, 2 family members died within a week of each other. Both middle aged. Hopefully we all don’t have to experience this again in our lifetimes.

When he leaves City I will forgive his mistakes, how can I not I have made a few myself, he will go with many thanks from me for giving me so much joy as part of an amazing team.

As a footballer on the field he has been great for us but I really wanted him to go before last season and he would have walked away gracefully but with every game he seems to be losing it and his head as even though he is captain he us more bothered about confrontation than keeping the peace . Just think his off the pitch antics are too many for a club that prides itself on being run so effectively.

Deserves to go out with more dignity. Sadly that's being denied.

A defender is desperately needed in January, just as much as a DM.

Yeah, at this moment in his career (he’s evidently on his way out). I agree he’s been an integral part of our success. Probably best he leaves in the summer (is that a better way of putting it haha).

To be fair, I do get annoyed when people don’t do the basics ie jump for headers, shit out of tackles etc etc. I did write that post after Palace scored their second so probs not the best time to have aired my views! I’ll give it 10 minutes next time!
