Just a painful watch now. Sub made sense, ake still not fit, 4-0 up, walker should be able to cope fine but he couldn't even get the basic stuff right, it's things like simple passes not having even close to the right weight in them over and over that cannot be excused. That's not age catching up with him.

Best thing all round would be for him to move on this window and we get a replacement in, nobody wants to see him struggling like this everytime he steps on the pitch, it's going to tarnish his legacy here. Go get yourself a Saudi payday.

Concerned about his body language especially as ‘captain’ and the negative impact this could have behind the scenes. It feels like we’re now getting the Kyle Walker you hear about outside of football instead of the seemingly good pro we had before.

This!

It’s sad to watch this decline. We really need to sign a right back.

We do but we won't do that unless walker himself accepts it's over. This is pure speculation on my part, could very easily be entirely false but I get the impression he's not someone who will willingly accept things he doesn't want to hear or face.

I reckon he probably still thinks he's capable of being the champions right back. Out of respect, we aren't going to look to dump him, it has to be a mutual thing and if he still thinks he's upto it, that isn't going to happen.

Believing the above to be true, the solution is we sign a centre back this windkw and then we can move akanji/stones out there or possibly the new centreback if he is adaptable.

Yeah. Likely.

Have we potentially got another season of this?

He doesn't even look interested. Aside from the physical drop off. He genuinely would rather be anywhere else it seems. Give the minutes to anyone else.
His head is on a different planet. Even if it wasn’t, he doesn’t seem to be able to adapt to his loss of pace.

He’s been a legend, but it’s time for him to leave and concentrate on his families.

Can you ever remember a player dropping off as much as this in such a short space of time?
No. To be fair it was pretty obvious he’d fall off a cliff once his pace faded. Which made that 3 year contract all the more baffling. To be honest though i didn’t think the cliff would be this big!

Could well be the case.

I said a month or so back, those expecting walker to be gone in the summer might yet be in for a shock. He's under contract, he's not going to be easy to get out unless there's a hard conversation and he faces reality. If he still backs himself and stands firm on staying we aren't going to be seen to push out our captain.

The hope is he knows it's done and wants to go out on his own terms. He's the best right back in premier league history, that has to be a legacy he doesn't want to spoil even slightly.

It happens to every player at some point, but watching it in person, he genuinely looks done as a title contention level player.

He barely warmed up pre game, not even sure he did.

During warm up before he came on he just stood there and watched the game. Clearly unmotivated right now and meant to be our captain.
