Somewhat, but it's not uncommon for an older player to feel like a horrible burden to the rest of the team when they realise they're past it

That plus the fact I imagine a team's been in contact with him, makes the whole thing easier
Not to mention he is getting divorced and will be keen to recoup any lost earnings.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said Kyle Walker is looking at the possibility of moving abroad.

Walker was left out of today’s 8-0 FA Cup third round victory against League Two Salford.

Asked in his post-match press conference for the reasons behind his omission, Guardiola said: “Two days ago Kyle asked to explore the option to play abroad.

“He went to (director of football) Txiki Begiristain. For that reason I prefer to play (players) whose mind is here.”

If I'm Pep, I'm furious. Pep has always backed Kyle even with all his off field and tabloid shenanigans. Went out of his way to convince him to stay after the treble (poor decision in hindsight lol).

As a fan I'm not furious but annoyed. How are you a club captain and want to leave in the middle of the season during an injury crisis. So unprofessional.
