Can't be due to ditching his teammates halfway through their worse season while he was supposed to be their leader.

If I'm Pep, I'm curious. Pep has always backed Kyle even with all his off field and tabloid shenanigans. Went out of his way to convince him to stay after the treble (poor decision in hindsight lol).

As a fan I'm not furious but annoyed. How are you a club captain and want to leave in the middle of the season during an injury crisis. So unprofessional.

If I’m Pep I’m probably relieved. We need to stop hoping that players will miraculously regain fitness and form and start shifting bodies out.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said Kyle Walker is looking at the possibility of moving abroad.

Walker was left out of today’s 8-0 FA Cup third round victory against League Two Salford.

Asked in his post-match press conference for the reasons behind his omission, Guardiola said: “Two days ago Kyle asked to explore the option to play abroad.

“He went to (director of football) Txiki Begiristain. For that reason I prefer to play (players) whose mind is here.”

Wow - he went to Txiki and not Pep.

That's cowardly.
