2 seasons of Messi or 4 of Kane?

4 for Kane. He’s put his neck on the line upsetting fans etc. I appreciate Messi did similar last year but we need to think of what’s best for the team longevity. Marketing wise and playing wise Messi would still be phenomenal but Kane for me
Kane is doing that for himself, trying to correct his stupid mistake (signing a ridiculous contract that guaranteed him failure) Why doesn't he hand in a transfer request?

I think 2 years of Messi and then adding to it next year with Haaland (since his clause kicks in) would be the perfect combination. But i think the Messi ship has sailed.

Getting a number 9 should be priority, because next summer we'll have to just look again and the market promises no great opportunities, everyone will be after Haaland, doubt we just beg for his signature like that, plus he'll be shopped around shamelessly by Raiola, rather avoid all that.

But at the same time... On the other hand. It is Messi. Enough said.

There's no easy answer.

Would he be a Marketing dream?

We possibly have 2 of the new marketing man's dream tickets in Grealish and Foden, Messi is and will become yesterday's man, the kids will look to Grealish as their poster boy.
I think the 10s of millions of Instagram fans would disagree with you but I get your point.

Unsure pal. At the time to him it seemed a good idea. CL finalist, Spurs on the up with a decent gaffer and with young hungry english players and some decent exports too. You’re right though 6 years is daft for Kane at that point. Makes sense for Grealish for us we want to keep him for his peak years

Also could you imagine the fee of say he had only 2 years left? Would put Kane in a stronger position and I think it would be realistic at around the £100-110mill

Exactly, what he did was commit for the rest of his career. A four year contract would of gave him options in case of failure.

Now he's desperate, and people think his actions was him keeping his side of the deal. No, actually his actions was him realising that this deal is going to be very hard. He knows Levy is highly unlikely to budge on price and he knows that City are not prepared to go the 150 million. That isn't this clubs fault, that is Kanes fault. So if a better option comes then we have no obligation to stick with Kane. We do not owe Kane anything!

Sounds very Raggy to ask a player to push a move through only look at City (like we do with most of our targets see if they truly want to come to us) and then fuck him off because the 34 year old goat becomes available...

fuck it what am I saying sign Messi and get Kane in 2 years

Pointless question tbh...la liga will back down and he'll sign Barca contract....was never and will never sign for anybody else.
I think you are right. Something stinks about the whole Messi situation, stating that both parties came to an agreement but La Liga’s rules prevent it sounds like an attempt to shift the blame. Would La Liga want to shoulder that responsibility?
