I’m unsure why I’m arguing it to be honest. It really doesn’t matter, either way City are pursuing Kane and I assume Messi is not on the agenda but I’m very much KFA and look forward to rest of the window.

Regardless, 2 years of Messi at our club is a dream come true, so just from that perspective, yes yes yes.

But, there is need for a striker, someone to fill the hole left at 9, and Kane should be a priority.

From the club's pov, there is a short term commercial boost with Messi, or they can just nurture their own starboy in Grealish, go for Kane, do what needs done. Basically. It's a really tough one
