I was probably being a bit over sarcastic. I have read on this forum and several newspaper comments that he wants to leave and the weather and Manchester itself is one of the reasons.
My annoyance with this is that it appears with some posters to be an OK reason to up sticks and head off to sunnier climes.
Sane and Garcia, both younger, wanted to return to their home country and got a lot of stick for it. Bernardo seems to be getting none of this flak.
I genuinely think that a player under contract needs a decent reason to leave a club and rain isn't one of them.
If its really down to lack of gametime, personal issues etc. then I have no problem with that
So no 'proof' that Bernardo wants away, is un-happy or doesn't like Manchester?
Once again tittle-tattle and un-founded opinions seem to be cast as truth.
You're getting annoyed about something that hasn't happened.

I think it’s an inevitability really. He lives in the city centre instead of the leafy suburbs. It’s an utter shithole. Even I wouldn’t want to live in town, never mind a guy with the money to live wherever he wants in the world. And being cooped up during these covid times won’t have helped either. It’s clear now why his form has suffered so much, he has stayed longer than he wanted to as he isn’t happy. We just have to let him go, no choice.
Once again, where has Bernardo said he is unhappy? Where has he said he wants to leave? It aint fucking 'clear' at all.

I have seen lots of photos of him in his leisure time, he usually seems to have crowd of close mates, (and their partners), and enjoys socialising by the sea.
I will miss Bernardo if he leaves, I love his work rate and skill, he's probably my favourite current player, but I would never keep someone that wants to leave, (unlike Daniel Levy?).

Mendy apparently is his best mate and could well be moving on also.

At least there's some silver lining at the end of all this.

Whenever you see Bernardo on Instagram he is usually with a big group of male/female friends, as said above usually by the sea and usually on a sailing yacht ! Oh and there is the model girlfriend in the bikini as well it's a tough life ! I will be disappointed if Bernie moves on he is the unsung hero in the team, he allows others to shine by the amount of work he does to get them the ball so they can shine .

Hope Bernardo stays, I think he's a cracking player when utilised in his best position and has a regular run of games.
However, I feel he's become frustrated with his role in the team, I don't think he's improved under Pep and has gone from a creative influence to a water carrier who runs himself into the ground chasing lost causes.
The weather is a nonsense excuse, he signed a contract extention whilst living here for a year or two
He's not been the same since he was hounded by the media for the Mendy farce, job done by the media.
I hope he stays, but if he leaves, we should command a fee in the region of £80 million.

What if his personal issue is that he doesn't like rain?

Think we may both be disappointed on this bud.

But if he does go then I wish him well, he had a couple of great seasons and one of the best games I’ve ever seen from a City player (Liverpool home).

Amazed he’s got that far in the game if he’s that brittle. Very much doubt he is though.
Not sure about that.

Bernardo comes across as someone who prides himself on being a "good guy."

That entire incident led him to be labeled a racist and got a lot of negative press that could have seemed to contradict his entire identity as a person.

In mental health/social work the Developmental Life Course Perspective examines how life events affect different people in different ways.

Even twins in the same moment can go in different directions.

Indeed, past resilience is a known and significant protective factor.

However, particularly when it comes racial identity development that some suggest informs human reactions to and fear of real or perceived accusations of being labeled "racist," or engaging in "racist" behaviour we can see how much of a reaction it gets in the world.

Why are some booing the knee? These issues are VERY sensitive and evoke reactions that some find hard to understand or empathise with on either side.

That lack of understanding impact people's mental health and sense of self because of perceived negative views/stigma from such a label.

If you pride yourself on being a "good guy" then this might bother you more than a bunch of ****housery from fans and players in your life.

Who knows, but it's sure not hard to see the correlation to the slide from that point onwards.
