If you take the 18/19 season out of the equation he has contributed very little.

Hopefully he will find that form again but at the moment he's looking like another Stephen Ireland.
Wiggy probably scored more league goals in a shit side during his one top season too.

He did.

I think he’s struggling with not knowing what he is. He’s become a squad player with no position. He’s being used as a utility rotation player, and I think his confidence has disappeared.

Even if he’d played well today, he either wouldn’t be in the same position or even in the team in the next game.

He needs to be trusted to play in the same position and make it his own. How on Earth do Sterling and Rodri carry on getting picked no matter how ineffective or shite they can be, but Bernardo is just in-out-midfield-out-one side-out-out-the other side-out...?
Because Pep has his favourites and always has. Look at how Sane was treated. Sane could be unplayable for 10 games, have an off day and be dragged off and not seen for a month. Other players, Sterling being a prime example can do no wrong.

I’m a staunch supporter but he was non existent today. Also had a really bad habit of getting wrong side of his man when attempting to anticipate a back pass.

it appears the worlds best player is playing in his only good position.

If a consistent run of games involves more anonymous performances like tonight, I'd rather not see that. He's a talented player that every blue is thankful for having but he needs to go and become the player we saw in 18/19 for his own sake.

I just don't see how that doesn't apply to more than half the squad right now. And when you've got that many players underperforming for so long, that's literally the manager failing to get the most out of them.

But maybe you're right because we're now committed to Pep's way for the next two years.

If you were a neutral watching him at the moment, you'd say that he needs to move on and find his mojo at another team

It's a real shame as he probably our most likeable player but he seems completely lost at the moment. Even physically. Looks like a strong wind would blow him over.

We've seen glimpses of other players shining, Bernardo hasn't in over a year. It's because I rate Bernardo so highly that it was genuinely make me happy to see him go elsewhere and play to the 18/19 level.

Best CM in the league when Kev was injured, unrecognisable since Kev's been back... like Gerrard and Lampard
didn't we try him there again when kev was injured and it still didn't really work somethings not clicking for him with us he seems to still be playing well for portugal on the wing.
