Thought he was much better tonight. There were some good signs that he is starting to work back to form.

When you’re out of form you have to keep playing in the same position for a good stretch of games to get it back.

Bernardo never gets this consistently.

He’s in and out more than a pornstar’s cock. Even if he plays well, like tonight (not great but good), he can be dropped. Yet there are others who play no matter how bad they are.

He just needs a goal or two and he’ll be back to his best. He’s been low on confidence for a while, was clearly affected last season.

Not sure what the complaints are, seemed to be fine today. Not electric by any means, but nothing to moan about.

He just needs consistent minutes, I don't think he has had that for a while.

Was having a row (discussion) with some of the Mahrez super fans at the weekend who were telling me that Bernardo was much worse and I should concentrate my angst on him - I said what Bernardo needs is a good run in the side and be afforded the same number of starts in his preferred position. Great to see him being dynamic tonight, his upside is streets ahead of Mahrez and I don't believe anyone can doubt his work ethic. Hope this is the start of a good rest of the season for Bernie as others have said he just needs a goal or two to get him really flying. On another note how good was Phil tonight? Outstanding, never stopped moving.

I remember seeing him go on a similar run for Monaco when we played them in the CL a few years back and thought I'd absolutely love to see this player in a City shirt.

I think we have too many players who enjoy similar space,and Bernardo's game suffers as a consequence.Pep needs to find our best system,an 11 that compliment each other......and not just employ the players that tick his favourite boxes.
