We don't play a stable defence as Pep has his fullbacks playing in midfield half the time,which suffocates the space there,and leaves us exposed to the counter attack.

Playing a fullback in midfield is what made us almost impossible to counter in 2017-2019. the block of 2 in front of the back 3. Blocking the middle of the pitch, while leaving our LCB and Walker to mop up anything played into the channels.

What's happened since then is we've moved to having a normal LB with Gundogan or Bernardo dropping into the 2 and that's made us much, much weaker on the counter.

We signed him as a winger and people saw that they shared a name and some physical attributes and decided he would be the David Silva replacement.

Even when he's been decent in the middle he'd played nothing like David. And while we're at it, people need to stop talking like we're going to find replicas of the likes of David, Kompany, Aguero, Yaya and Fernandinho because we'll be waiting decades. Those players have been special for a reason. Same will happen with Kev.

Exactly. Bernardo was never "ready-made" to replace Silva.

Our playing style, since Pep was in, revolved around Silva and KdB running as no.8s in our midfield. It worked amazingly because the two, especially Silva, were just that good. One half of this midfield is gone, and we don't have a Silva clone in the dresser.

Right now, Pep needs to reinvent and find a new way to play with the current talents still left at the club.

Needs to take a long hard look at himself and return to the form in the above video, if he doesn't he should be sold it is as simple as that, he has been between poor and below average for nearly two seasons with barely a spark of his former glory.

Losing Sane was bad enough but seeing Bernardo in this form is like losing another top class player.

Do you really think your fellow fans are as thick as this?

I would imagine after seeing how he played football, fans thought he could transition into an attacking midfielder rather than a winger but in his own all action style

Nobody will be like David Silva, not even Foden, Foden will be his own man and CAM as Bernardo would be if played there.

But first, he needs to rediscover himself.

The Bernie problem Is easily solved. Drop Kev deeper and push Bernie further forward and let him run at the cb. We don’t need Kev running all over the place.

I am now getting worried about Bernardo...he is offering so little to the team. I've been his biggest fan and have enjoyed his fantastic play over the years. But when he gets the ball now there is no excitement, he looks so weak almost like a kid playing with men, seems so slow with little creativity. Where has the little genius that was so brilliant to watch gone. He was also a big goalscoring threat coming in from the left.

I really hope he can find his true form again. He has proved in the past what a skilful and brilliant player he can be.
