Poor in front of goal but general play was good and if I saw him tonight I’d actually thank him for his work rate.

Even in the last few minutes he chased everyone down at the back, mostly by himself.

If we wanted energy and enthusiasm then Tommy Doyle will do that all day long , Bernardo's confidence is shot , he should have scored hat trick against Saints and my patience is wearing thin , watching a player running around like a headless chicken for 95 minutes is only nuisance value to the opposition.
He should never get in the side before Phil Foden on current form , Foden scores or creates in virtually every game he plays , and Foden on a bad day is ten times more effective then Bernardo but maybe the problem is Foden is the quiet type who easily accepts being dropped no matter how well he plays.
Bernardo's decent games over the last two seasons you can count on one hand , he is looking like a flash in the pan one season wonder, which is shame because his first season was majestic.

That's a brutal assessment. Bar scoring, Bernardo fully justified his inclusion today.

Also, Foden was dreadful agaisnt WBA recently.

I love Foden, but he shouldnt be used as a stick to beat Bernardo. That is especially so when he had a fine game, and was one of our better performers for 75 mins of that very tough encounter.

We need to play him more, rebuild his confidence and fitness, only then will the real Bernardo return.

I could argue Phil for KDB more than Phil for Bernardo who has played little but did well today.

Poor finishing but largely due to the fact he ran all game and was probably completely ruined physically.

I can't work out where his best position is though.

Thought Bernardo brought the energy we we`ve been sadly lacking. It was great to see him back in the side. If he get`s a run, which I doubt, I think he`d get back to his best
Exactly, and that energy was very reason Foden should also have been introduced second half too.

Both should be focal points in our midfield.
