Both it seems have been largely pushed to one side by Pep being ignored, unused, played out of position or coming on very late in games.
Its very odd, either Pep has lost the plot or he is trying to be too clever with his approach.Either way its to the detriment of our play as individuals are struggling to adapt and the cohesion is lost.

In all honesty since the start of 19/20 season I think he`s been effect by his wife and youngest child leaving.

I actually though he`d be offski, but no.

If we wanted energy and enthusiasm then Tommy Doyle will do that all day long , Bernardo's confidence is shot , he should have scored hat trick against Saints and my patience is wearing thin , watching a player running around like a headless chicken for 95 minutes is only nuisance value to the opposition.
He should never get in the side before Phil Foden on current form , Foden scores or creates in virtually every game he plays , and Foden on a bad day is ten times more effective then Bernardo but maybe the problem is Foden is the quiet type who easily accepts being dropped no matter how well he plays.
Bernardo's decent games over the last two seasons you can count on one hand , he is looking like a flash in the pan one season wonder, which is shame because his first season was majestic.
Exactly.Robbie Savage spent his whole career chasing around with energy and enthusiasm for 90 minutes but nobody wants that playing for us ! All the players work hard in their own way it's the least you expect.Silva needs to shape up quickly and contribute or ship out.

Always puts a shift in and never hides , he will be back to his best if he stops getting fkd about . On my team sheet before Mahrez all day long
Agreed - look at the run and the interplay with KDB for our goal yesterday and that shows what he can do. Mahrez in theory can do the same, but just doesn't have the work ethic to produce it consistently

I could argue Phil for KDB more than Phil for Bernardo who has played little but did well today.
KDB made an impact in the game and had a part in 3 points even though he wasn't in his best form. Bernardo was 1v1 against the goalkeeper and chose to pass it to mahrez(I still can't comprehend the reasoning behind that decision). He could have scored 2 goals yesterday had he chose to shoot. Should start Against arsenal though as KDB needs a rest. KDB has his spot fixed and shouldn't be negotiated for anyone unless they prove to be more impactful than him.

I love Foden, but he shouldnt be used as a stick to beat Bernardo. That is especially so when he had a fine game, and was one of our better performers for 75 mins of that very tough encounter.

We need to play him more, rebuild his confidence and fitness, only then will the real Bernardo return.
Not using Foden to beat anyone you can chose any from half a dozen players, Bernardo doesnt deserve his place in the team , and in my opinion he didnt have a fine game , he plays like a little kid runs about with loads of enthusiasm but does not affect games and if he gets a goal scoring chance he bottles it because his confidence is shredded .He's had over two seasons to get his act together hes had plenty of chances, and he isnt showing any signs of getting back to his form in his first season. Lets face facts , he's another Negredo one season wonder and he has done nothing to prove otherwise
