His energy makes the whole team better and has such a good understanding with cancelo that Needs to be taken advantage of more. Beyond stupid yellow at the end though, things like that infuriate me as the last thing we need right now is suspensions coming in to play.

I think most City fans have a soft spot for Bernardo (myself included) for his efforts in our last title winning season when he was simply magnificent. We all know his standards have slipped since then, but today there were very encouraging signs that the Bernardo of old is still alive.

Form is temporary, class is permanent. Bernardo more of the same please for the rest of the season.

Thought he was good today. In fact our most complete midfield performance. No wonder :

cancelo, Rodri, zin
Gundogan, Bernie
Stirling, DeBruyne, Foden

that’s a 2-3-2-3-0

bloody brilliant

I put this in another thread earlier. Hope you don't mind me repeating it here.
Great team performance v Chelsea. Just a word about Bernardo: he played in exactly the same position and exactly the same way as he did for Monaco when they beat us there. Back to his best? I certainly hope so. Think Modric at his best for Real, BS is as good if not better. He keeps the team ticking at pace with the emphasis on breaking lines with clever forward passes and buzzing around the midfield.Very encouraging.

Play him as RCM and always delivers.

It's the mystery why Pep has never tried Debruyne as LCM and Bernardo as RCM at least in one game
and three attacking players in front of them... I think that would revolutionize our midfield and game
and lay the fundament for another 100 point back-to-back seasons..

Otherwise when Bernardo plays as LW or RW or RCM - we can all feel that he plays out of his natural position and can't deliver what we all want and wait for...
