He was fucking everywhere yesterday.

He was huge at limiting Mane to wide areas when helping out Cancelo, and just brilliant in attack.

He is world class in the right midfield spot.

There have been lots of workmanlike but very average performances recently when Kevin plays in his position but with his layoff, Bernardo is back to his best.

Beautiful to watch when he's on song like that. Works his socks off, incredible touch and technique, glides through tackles and is just everywhere. That little dink over Allison to set Sterling up. Just class.

Next year Debruyne will be 30 and Gundogan will be 31..

The only player who I think can play 3 times per week alongside Rodri in the midfield is -> Bernardo..

Bernardo plays his best football as a LCM - because he has three teammates upfront who he can pass and more space, more area to dribble, make those 360 degree turn arounds and etc.

Also he is the best player who you can turn to when you need to make a build-up and opponent is pressing. Debruyne often has problems in those tight areas but Bernardo 100 out of 100 times retains the ball and delivers.

So without no question - for Pep`s football he is the most important player in the midfield when you are playing against the tough opponents.

For this purpose he should always play as LCM and sometimes Foden can be rotated with him as well to gain some midfield experience and Debruyne / Gundogan should play as RCM and concentrate on the attack / goals / assists mainly..

This would be great I think, but Pep knows better..

I have a dream to see Debruyne - Bernardo midfield since he arrived here :D
But when Debruyne plays RCM and Bernardo LCM. PEP PLEASE :D
I hope that as long as Gundogan is fit and on Form that KDB should play in Mahrez's wide right forward role. I think he'd be great there = just as Foden is on the left. and he could possibly make Bernardo even better by helping get him into the box more.

I don't understand why people are suggesting Kev play on the right wing. He's not a winger so when he'd get the ball he wouldn't be able to beat his man either. He can put in a cross, but opposition would know that as well and stop him from crossing and usher him inside.
He still is providing width on the right when he's there. It's just though patterns of play the object is to find him space so he can put in a cross. We have seen him drift to the left now that Cancelo plays however.
