He is definitely improving as a LCM and matches against Liverpool (especially Etihad game) / Atletico prove that, but it's still a mystery for me - why Pep didn't play him RCM, where he played in October-November-December period when KDB was injured..
As I understand in order to make Rodri-Bernardo-KDB midfield "happen" - Pep tries to teach him that LCM position, but today I think he could have played there and be more productive.. KDB was on the bench and we could have used "Best Bernardo"..
Also, Pep changes these tactics a lot.. Today he played with 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2 formation, which means that Bernardo played as number 6 alongside Fernandinho and had no extra man in midfield.. Grealish and Sterling were attacking forwards and Foden and Jesus wide Wingers..
And tired also, of course..
But the main reason I think is Pep's tactics here and formation..
