City are regularly ranked as the best club in Europe. How the fuck can he be ‘too good’ for us. I might accept too good for the media in the U.K., better suited to playing in Spain but not ‘too good‘ for the club we support.

As long as people (fans and media) keep saying that KDB is our best player, Bernardo will feel undervalued.

We may be regarded as the best team in Europe, but like it or not, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and to a lesser extent Bayern Munich, will always be regarded by players as the best clubs in Europe. Clubs where players seem to have the best chance to win the Ballon D'or. Sad but true.

We're years behind those clubs in terms of trophies, numbers of fans, size and quality of stadiums. We're the new boys, just like Chelsea. We haven't got anywhere near the level of history or credibility around the world as RM or Barcelona.

The world of football is well aware of the emergence of City as a potential power, but they'll no doubt be watching and waiting to see what happens when Pep moves on.

Don't be fooled into thinking we're as attractive to European / South American players players as the Spanish 'elite'.

Bernardo Silva would be a superstar at Real or Barcelona, and if the terms were right, he'd probably walk there to play for them.

Do you genuinely believe that Ballon D'or is the height of a players ambition? Something they build their career to achieve?
I would have thought a greater draw is winning stuff as part of an amazing squad playing for an amazing manager. Something we have in spades. You seem determined to belittle us and genuflect at the alter of Real Madrid. I really find that quite puzzling from a City fan.

So do I mate, but we have to accept certain facts and just enjoy the club as it is rather than pretend otherwise.

To the likes of RM, we're still likkle City buzzing around like angry wasps.

I frankly think its bollocks. Tell me how many of our top players have gone that route. I can think of Leroy and er Eric Garcia.

We're not a big club yet. 10 years is a drop in the ocean. It's going to take a lot longer.

We're a big club in Britain and a great team in Europe. Accept that and enjoy the ride.

Ive been on that page for a long time....KDB is a wonderful talent,not quite what he was,but still capable of brilliance.
Unfortunately his presence is not suited to Bernardo's game,and he will never fully shine while they are in the same 11.

I honestly believe the fact he has been positionally 'sacrificed' over the past couple of seasons in favour of KDB was partly responsible for his unhappiness,and reason enough for him to want a move to a club that will build around him.

Ive been on that page for a long time....KDB is a wonderful talent,not quite what he was,but still capable of brilliance.
Unfortunately his presence is not suited to Bernardo's game,and he will never fully shine while they are in the same 11.

I honestly believe the fact he has been positionally 'sacrificed' over the past couple of seasons in favour of KDB was partly responsible for his unhappiness,and reason enough for him to want a move to a club that will build around him.

Perhaps just for one game (or at least one half) we switch things up a little bit with Kdb playing deeper and closer to Rodri while Bernie plays the advanced role. Anyway I believe transition to a deeper role would happen naturally as Kdb is the older player and wouldn't have the legs to keep driving forward all the time.
