I think the problem with the Bernie situation is that is nothing to do with his feelings towards the club. If he wanted to go and sign for someone else because he feels like he wants to take the next step up the ladder we would all be like “ok but show us the fucking money”. With Bernie I don’t think it’s the same, it’s the sort of situation that could be mentally detrimental to him. He is a great guy and a great player and I think he genuinely loves City and the fans but if he isn’t happy in Manchester, that can have a serious impact on his mental state. I expect the club will take this into account and try and do whatever they can for him. As fans we might end up unhappy with the incoming fee, but as much as I want him to stay, it might just be the best thing all round.

Another level again today.

Highly unique player, and honestly i'm not sure I know many if any others like him in football atm.

Would hate to lose him and part of me is hoping he stays this season and coming out of covid over the nest year helps me over the reasons why he wants to leave. But if it needs to leave to be happy, then I'm happy for him to go.

I'll say it again, it's absolute mind boggling that teams in spain aren't doing anything and everything to get the money together to buy this guy, 50m is an absolute steal.

Would love to see him stay and be one of our prime rotation players. He could walk into most other clubs in the world outside a very select few. Sadly, with everyone fit, we are one of those teams.

Yeah it's unfortunate that his best games are when he plays in Kev's position. He was at his brilliant best today, making us tick.
