Ric, do you know if Laporte wanting to depart is purely down to minutes last season or something more ?If Bernardo and Laporte stay at the club, I’d class that as a good window regardless of the centre forward situation.
Love his skill, industry, contribution to the way we play and will be gutted to see him go.
Would love to see him stay and be one of our prime rotation players. He could walk into most other clubs in the world outside a very select few. Sadly, with everyone fit, we are one of those teams.
Bernardo is a class act, I hope we keep him for another season at least. He’s a 70/80 mil player in this market.
Edit not that I want him sold of course
As per Paul hirst, Bernardo is staying one more season!! :)
Team player Bernardo Silva may have a future at Manchester City after all
Manchester City’s bullish support watched their team score five goals and play some scintillating football today, but they saved their loudest and most prolonged cheer for the moment that Bernardo Silva was substituted.www.thetimes.co.uk
Not in Pep’s mind, and that’s what counts. With everyone fit, he still walks into our midfield.
Had the exact same thought today. I'll be nervous on deadline day for those two staying rather than any incoming. If Bernardo and Laporte stay at the club, I’d class that as a good window regardless of the centre forward situation.
