That's true for CL games but not the big domestic games, of the domestic games against last years top 4 in the PL:A lot of the games he was on the bench for were the mass rotation games. He was definitely in the first choice XI.

Pep had a difficult job last season, Bernardo's form dipped and Pep tries to operate a meritocracy. This season Bernardo is back to great form and will hopefully he will maintain this and get lots of game time against the big teams domestically as well as in the CL.
