He's Kante without the ball and Spanish Dave with it. Unbelievable player, but doesn't get the credit because he sacrifices himself for the team so doesn't get "numbers". Ironically, because he's so good with the vall he doesn't get the credit for the incredible work he does without it. Genuinely think he's our most important player, he holds it all together and rises to the occasion in tough games.

Totally agree no better midfielder in Europe in my opinion.We should move heaven and earth to extend his stay with us.

Great post this. He's just incredible to watch. Just effortlessly covers the whole pitch and can play anywhere. He was class when he came on last night as well. Instantly just came on and ran the game. Give it to him with three around him and he's happy to receive the ball and pass it to someone else. Wonderful to watch. Even if we sign Bellingham, that has to be to replace Gundo and not to allow Bernie to leave. We need him to stay.

An absolute gem!! One of the world's best players and IMO greatly under-rated. Fucking love this player!! A technical and tactical genius who at the same time will fight like crazy to win. A street fighter mentality with the skill of an artist. Relentless!!

As soon as he came on he immediately exuded a mix of control and creativity that kept CFC just worried enough!

Created 3 chances, didn't give the ball away constantly and

Rodri offered little to no protection as is usually the case vs team willing to press high and Phils goal aside had a couple of shots and about 50 crosses that were shite
