Went under the radar last night. Great performance and was really involved with putting Arsenal under pressure in the second half.

He’ll always be one of my favourite City players, regardless of when he goes.

I have been critical of Bernardo but he is a very selfless player. It’s the main reason we all love him so much. Anyway, he is putting in a shit and that’s how I will remember him. Excellent hardworking footballer with a big heart. Still hope he stay but it looks like this fight is lost.

Keep it up to the end of the season and walk away as a legend of this club.

I think he is a far more important player to us than some appreciate.
He is like the oil in the machine. Always available, brilliant under pressure and phenomenal work rate.
Shame he doesn’t get forward more. He’s scored some belters for us in the past.

He's just a phenomenal footballer isn't he? I don't think there's any other player in our squad I would trust to play that role. His first touch is always immaculate and when he's dribbling it's like the ball is glued to his foot. You just never feel like he's going to lose it and is always going to make the right decision.

The finish weren't bad either.

I wouldn't go as far as that as at times he suffered like the rest with poor form but he has kept plugging away in trying in getting that form back

The only LB at the minute is Ake but we still have to manage him carefully as possible. Other than their goal we dominated so Bernardo at LB wasn't a major issue.

I think it’s short sighted to say that, 80 mins of excellence from Bern today in that role… and ye he did commit and lose out before the goal, but it just seemed like one of those days today- an orthodox left back could have done the same and the conclusion wouldn’t be that they can’t play lb.
(& long term it won’t really matter as inevitably he’ll be off in the summer)

another victim of our LB disaster conundrum that has been going on for long years now. this is all on Txiki now.
Bernardo may leave this summer finally to get his wish, and guess what we wont bring in top LB.
so it will be Ake and maybe Grealish will be retrained to be a LB.
