£45 million release clause seems too low
If (and it’s a big if) that’s the release clause, I don’t know why they didn’t just leave him on the 2 year contract on current wages. Save 15.5M in wages over the next two years and have control over the sale price next season if someone comes in for him.m
Just seen that it doesn’t kick in until 2025. So pay out 15.5M more in wages and get 45M if someone activated the clause in 2 years. Net 30M gain.
 
whenever i think about bernardo,i think skill,workrate and desire, when i think about his goals i think that goal v villa away,the screaming volley, however that is just one of quite an amazing catalogue of goals he has scored for us, get yourself a brew and watch bernardo the wizard
