Never seen him hoof the ball up and under so much as he has in the past half a dozen games or so
Me neither and yet I can’t recall one single moment when a goal has been scored by the opposition from a resulting hoof ball situation although I can recall times when Gvardiol and Nunes have tried back or cross field passes that have resulted in a goal.

I think the hoof up the park is deliberate and has two reasons. The first is the more obvious in that it helps clear the lines and allows teammates to get into shape. The second is subtler. It creates a little chaos in the opponent’s ranks and means they are drawn to defending the ball and not the system, so more space appears.

He has been, and still is, a good player, but given we could get a decent fee and plan to bring in new blood, he might be sacrificed, and I don’t think he would complain if he can find a club willing to pay his wages. I think City see Gundogan as a potential coach, and he has leadership qualities which could be critical given the departures of De Bruyne and Walker.

Definitely a legend for the club.

But if a good offer comes in, we have to be open to it as the squad is clearly gonna have a refresh.

My m8, doesnt watch City that much, doesnt really know the team etc... Big City fan always has been.... Gets his news from FB and Twitter. Totally believes Bernardo needs to be sold.

I am getting bored now, of the social media campaigns to get rid of our players. I tend to ignore it all nowadays, knowing that its basically a few dozen people who just don't like said player or just want us to buy new things.

Bernardo gives us drive. His talk about having the right people to go to war with shows it. He is an inspiration in the training ground for the squad, he drives people and sets expectations for the clubs new players. Thats the sort of person we want in the dressing room. He is getting old but still has a lot to offer.

Love him to death, but if we have a replacement lined up, now would be the time to cash in on him.
Replacements take time to settle in and adapt. Rodri did, Bernado did etc.
We may buy (or bought in January) some potentially great players but having intelligent players like Bernado who can help them integrate is important.

My thoughts entirely. Bernie is an important voice in our dressing room and demands high standards. Also an important influence to bridge to the next era.
