Loves City.
Dislikes scousers.
Has no regard for Trafford rangers.
Is still a quality player.
Has been flogged to near death due to injuries but doesn’t complain and still bleeds blue blood.
A very worthy member of the Captains group.
I, for one, will be chuffed to bits if he’s in our squad for the 2025/26 season.
Go on Bernie lad, you’ve got another treble within you.

Clearly staying, chosen as 1 of the 4 captains.

I suspect Gundogan is nailed on to leave now, and some like Reis and Echeverri either get a loan, or accept they can't play UCL.

It's not the right time imo and he deserves a lot more credit than he is getting for his efforts last season. He was flogged to death but answered the call every time. He is going to be so valuable supporting our new players - remember how he helped Khusanov after he made mistakes in the first part of his debut.
Are you basing this on sentiment or practically because last b silva was an absolute shadow of what we have seen and if that players turns up this season and plays every game then we are in trouble and pep willl be in trouble . He will be forever loved at Man City and is one of our modern greats but Man City is a business now aswell and has to run not in sentiment .

We learned the hard way with Gundogan's return from Barcelona that some moves don't work out as planned. Keeping Bernardo now feels like we're ignoring that lesson.

well he deserves to see out his last season. As long he knows that Reijnders will start in front of him it’s okay. Keeping 2 out of Kovacic, Gundogan and Bernardo isn’t really good but if it’s not possible than it’s not possible. I guess 1 out of Ake/ Akanji/ Nunes will leave instead.

Happy for him to stay as long as Pep doesn't play him every week regardless of form and at the expense of our own progress.

There was plenty times last season before team was announced, where we thought Bernardo won't start today after the other day, running his bollocks off, but low and behold he always seem to be in it and ran his bollocks off again, deffo seems to be Pep's go to man and the energy he shows has always remained.

I'll be chuffed for him to stay here rest of his career, although he has publicly claimed he wants to finish in Portugal, which is understandable, but the PSG / Barca train has gone now, he knows it and so do we, but it's always been weird that last few summers he's always been linked with a move and never happened, this seems to be another summer where he stays again, and I'm all for that

Great Bernardo looks like staying (captaincy). Hes been a great servant for this club.

People don’t appreciate that he was available last season pretty much all the time, while many, many players were not. He worked like three men — after that, you simply can’t have the energy for 100% creativity in attack. Bernardo will be in full form when the whole team is in form. And with the changes, I think City will be significantly better than last season.

I can live with parting ways with Gundo, but Bernardo should stay. He’ll fight for a place in the starting eleven, as he always provided options — both centrally and on the right wing when needed. I’m betting that Cherki and Reijnders hit the ground running, but if it takes them more time — even a full season — then it’s a treasure to have someone like Bernardo as an option and a backup. Plus, regardless of everything, you need good competition for positions, and Bernardo covers couple of them.

I have similar hopes for Stones and Ake. If they can handle their injuries they are great football players.

It’s based on sentiment from pep, not merit. If you ignore the last 2 months or so, Bernardo was awful last season. Huffed and puffed but the biggest architect of the boring, impotent style that shut haaland out of the game. Running through brick walls isn’t enough, and his attacking game which used to be genuinely quality is utter dross these days.

He’ll start over cherki and reijnders

A little stat for you. Bernardo Silva had the fourth highest distance covered per 90 in the league last season, and the highest in our squad. The man is a machine. Where he's declined is in his number of sprints, which is understandable.
