bollocks. did you miss last season? If we can’t sell him, he needs to be a bench warmer. Sadly a shadow of his old self.

No it isn't.Yea i can't see him going anywhere with Pep in charge .... even though its the right time for him to move on, for all parties
Fuck me, this is where the matchday thread tossers are is it?
Where is he wrong? Bernardo wasn’t good last season. And a big reason for our slow approach during games. Outplayed by Gundogan during the end of the season and outplayed by Kovacic for the whole seasonbollocks. did you miss last season?
So because he was outplayed by two midfielders we should move him on? Bernardo is a fucking legend of our club, covered more miles than most (probably the most) during his time at City so he deserves to stay even if it is for sentimental reasons. And he fucking hates the scousers. Respect Bernardo silvaWhere is he wrong? Bernardo wasn’t good last season. And a big reason for our slow approach during games. If he's ''wanted out for years'' why does he keep signing new contracts?I don't think its unreasonable to think its the right time for him to move on. He's wanted out for years and for good chunks of last season (along with the rest of the quad) he looked tired and unmotivated.
On the other hand, he showed last season he's still capable of decent performances when played deeper through the middle.
I'd personally move him on but I'm happy enough if he stays as long as he's not getting right wing minutes over Foden or Bobb. We have Reijnders and Gonzales to bolster the spots around Rodri (or to rotate with) and Cherki/Foden in front. So if Pep can resist starting him every match, I'm happy with him as a regular squad option.
He played almost every minute of every game and was the only senior player to do that. without him we would have been more fucked than we were.Where is he wrong? Bernardo wasn’t good last season. Missed 5 games home and away so yes please go on…Please name the games he changed…bollocks. did you miss last season?

Yeah that makes up for it then. He was piss poor before Christmas and for a large chunk after, only found some form at the end of season. Awful going forward and poor tracking back.He played almost every minute of every game and was the only senior player to do that. without him we would have been more fucked than we were.
100%Where is he wrong? Bernardo wasn’t good last season. And a big reason for our slow approach during games. Outplayed by Gundogan during the end of the season and outplayed by Kovacic for the whole season
no but if go by current skill it would be him before Kovacic. That’s all I am saying. Especially when the club has to move 2 Non-HG players. So because he was outplayed by two midfielders we should move him on? Just became the story after 2023 contract when he wanted the move. People just assumed its the same regardless I think. No real reports of him pushing for it since. If he's ''wanted out for years'' why does he keep signing new contracts?
No.You've never stuck with a job you weren't in love with and taken a pay rise because nothing better came along (Barca in his eyes and there was that whole psg thing)?
Look, it's been widely reported he's wanted out. Fine if you don't believe the press but it's come up several of the last few seasons.
As I said, I'm happy enough with him staying but I don't get the aggressiveness being aimed at those who think it's time he moved on. Bernardo seems to get a hell of a lot more rope than other city players for some reason. The Liverpool guard of honour was hilarious and he's been great, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if he went either.
