For the replacement, Akliouche. Saw him link up really well with Cherki vs Colombia yesterday. Tall, quick, skillful, with a strong engine like Nico O but faster and more technical. Stood out against us for Monaco as well, and at just 24 he’s a very good player to have imo.

Although there's still a few players left over from the last era, I think Bernado leaving will feel like the closing of a chapter on that era. I don't mind that, it's exciting.

All my dipper mates begrudgingly think Bernardo is one of our best ever, one of them even uses him to inspire his kid as someone he should try emulate. He is an incredible player. Id personally keep him around but also happy for him to go on his own terms.

What a man. For his replacement we can’t do things by half here like we have for a few recent signings. We need someone with the same mindset and desire to win as Bernardo, KDB or a Fernandinho for example as I think we will be severely lacking in that area if not

2018/19 he was our player of the year as we won everything domestically, that year he won the nations league with Portugal and got player of the tournament at it. This was Balon D'or form whether he won it or not and up there with the greatest season any city player has put down in history. Always felt that season was under rated but he came 9th in Balon Dor rankings. Van Dijk narrowly missed out on winning it to Messi despite only winning the CL and nothing else.

This will be the first of our legends to have left maybe just before they should (for us!). He's still performing at his best, unlike all the others. It's too much to hope for but imagine if he drags us to the league title as a farewell.

I would be happy for him to stay for another season as he still has lots to offer both on and off the pitch. Later on I think he would make a great pundit but would probably not want to do it in the UK as he craves the Iberian climate.
For me probably the best signing of the Pep era and will leave big shoes to fill for whoever tries to replace him.
