20 | Bernardo Silva - 2025/26

Great player and an all time legend
But it’s the right time to leave and deserves a huge send off
Glad he can back strong after last season but we need to put more energy in the midfield
It’s not gonna be hard replacing this version of him but the one from three years ago will be impossible

I doubt that.

Pep prefers him to Foden and Cherki and Gonzalez and O'Reilly and anyone (other than Rodri).

The idea that a technically inferior and far less experienced player like, say, Anderson will just come and outperform Bernardo is naive.

We love a one season captain!

He’s a born winner, he will move to wherever still allows him to be in the team and compete for titles.

I would have loved for him to get into our 500 appearance list with another year here.

Such a pity we haven't has another 10 Bernardos' over the years with his superb non injury record of only missing 7 games. Shame some of our others weren't of similar genetic make up.

He's a delight and I will truly miss him. Who is going to be the chief Dipper/ team shithouse merchant/ coffee drinker when he's gone :-)? Sad that he won't achieve the decade as a Blue. But family and Benfica have to take priority now and he is 32 in August. ( To me 32 is but a mere youngster but for a player it's a veteran age...unbelievable Jeff).

He loves us. The feeling from me to Brewnardo is most definitely reciprocated. X

And for me it's not about how technical they are, but just how Bernardo always knows where he needs to be and which players need him supporting them. He's incredible. Someone else who understands how we play will have to step up and do that next season, as I highly doubt a new player would 'get' it quickly enough.

Bernardo is not suspended for Chelsea and Arsenal after his yellow card, because although he's on 9 yellow cards other competitions like the FA cup apparently don't count towards the total.
