I was a Crystal Gold man myself. Used The Halfway or The Grove pre and post match.6 pints of diamond is probably the cheapest way to get absolutely ratarsed these days.

Sensible. Now that we’re good, we don’t need to blank out the actual football.I was a Crystal Gold man myself. Used The Halfway or The Grove pre and post match.
Makes that rooftop cocktail bar in Monostiraki look like The Nelson
Funnily enough, I might have the odd drink pre-match, but it's far less than it used to be, before we were good. Now that we’re good, we don’t need to blank out the actual football.
I won’t be frequenting it any time soon. I did Cloud 23 a few years back. I guess it’s pretty much the same thing, full of people live-streaming to their Insta and TikTok accounts.Funnily enough, I might have the odd drink pre-match, but it's far less than it used to be, before we were good.
As someone has already pointed out, you don't really go to 20 stories for a drink, you go for the novelty, plenty of other places to go for a drink, and like someone else said, if you want a photo of the view just head for the toilet area, take a photo, then go get a drink elsewhere.
I’m sick of them automatically adding on the service charge, it’s optional they should ask you first, if they are just giving me a few pints I’ll drop them a £1, when getting food served I’ll ask them not to add and give them cash, I’d rather they got that than it go through the till. It’s getting like the USA, when I worked behind a bar it was a bonus now it’s expected.I've not been impressed by Manchester for a while now, not just the prices, just the general 'meh' feeling I get when I'm there, and the lack of quality that the bars actually provide.
Post Fulham game, went to some bar in Ancoats, where me and my mate got a pint of Estrella, which came in a plastic pot, and we were charged north of £7 each a pint, plus a service charge of 10%.
Back to the OP, 20 stories is alright, if you're not getting in the way of pretty much every other person wanting to take a picture of the gaff!
As for Northern Quarter, used to like it around there but not every bar is pretty much the same, and the chances of you getting your beer in the glass it was meant to be served in, are less than zero!
It's like a Mackies but a quarter of the size and four times the price. It would help if the OP told us which pub it was ......oh he has.
He has ?
P.s. what's an expresso martini when it's at home ?
The cheeky twats are seeing it as another stream of revenue, knowing that most people feel awkward asking them to remove the tip.I’m sick of them automatically adding on the service charge, it’s optional they should ask you first, if they are just giving me a few pints I’ll drop them a £1, when getting food served I’ll ask them not to add and give them cash, I’d rather they got that than it go through the till.
