IMO, it doesn`t look like there are very many young great LBs with a good injury record. If Mendy can stay fit (and that`s a big if), I would be very happy with him and Zinchenko at LB. Hope we keep Gundogan. Fernandinho could maybe be 2nd choice RB, if we sign another DM and keep Gundo. Would be great as an inverted fullback and could cover the DM position in case of fatigue or injuries. I really like Frimpong in the academy, could play cup games next season.I suspect that one of the factors is that we have so many other priority areas we need to address.
Sounds like Danilo, Otamendi and Gundogan might want to leave? Those have to be replaced. Along with a Ferna successor as well as a forward?
We are going to struggle to get that sorted. Never mind having the finances and time to get a quality LB as well.
In what way are Kompany, Stones and Laporte not all competent centre backs?! Sandler and García are both extremely talented and can compete for the 4th choice position.I prefer my choices. but i do not believe Pep will run with only 2 competent CB next season if Ottamendi leaves, so Aulderweireld does look on?
I watch Angelino quite a lot and if he comes back he will be 3rd choice so i can not see that happening

This was my prediction Midway vthru the season. That we'll get a young fullback. But it will be a RB. Hence why I was excited about AWB and Aarons. Sometimes, you just have to look at the landscape with a different lense. That Danilo wouldn't want to be a backup was not hard to predict. No, if Delph and Danilo go then really the homegrown spot needs to be used for a right back. Which is why , if the Sky report is right, we aren’t looking at a left back this summer, think its a case of balancing the 17 non homegrown numbers and 4 homegrown.Delph out, Chilwell in?
