I thought it was about time we had a thread to keep track of David Silva's exploits in San Sebastian.
Real Sociedad are currently top of the league, having beaten Huesca 4-1 tonight with 2 assists for merlin, and they are both pretty special.
I know someone already posted them in an "i miss silva" thread but Real Sociedad have a really good side and a long term thread to keep track them and our Dave is going to be needed.
Jesus, I’m already pissed off that I’ve got 45 minutes to finish my drink and get home before curfew kicks in without being reminded how much I miss our Dave!
They have a brilliant team, they could definitely win some silverware, whether it's copa del rey or the Europa League. La Liga seems impossible but Barcelona and Real Madrid are the weakest they've been in the past 15 years so never say never.
Isak has struggled early on but looks like he's finding his form and he will be a 20+ goal a season striker sooner rather than later, Oyazarbal is brilliant as a wide striker/winger. Mikel Merino is one of the wonderkids Dortmund bought as a teenager with their Dembele money, but it didn't quite work out and he bounced around for a bit, but now at 24 he's showing why he was such a hot prospect as a kid.
Januzaj is good for them too, believe it or not, and then they have a solid group of players with some experienced leaders in Silva and Nacho Monreal.
I think David's got a very good chance of adding to the trophy cabinet.
Never mind Silva, who's that striker? He kicked it hard at the net and scored a goal!
Get the chequebook out and get him signed :)
Seriously though, good to see Silva up to his usual tricks. Just one of those footballers who makes it look so easy you can't understand why everyone else can't do it.
love the little genius. So lucky to have watched him do his work year after year. The replacements are not fit to lace his boots. Were is the next Silva coming from? You can see why we are in a mess. These players cannot be replaced.
The one player at City who I've seen with my own eyes who I wished could have played forever. Legend is a word bandied around readily but is absolutely right for this man
