Thankfully, this time downtown hasn’t been turned into something like a DMZ from Bladerunner. Partly due to Covid and partly due to the fact that it’s a few miles down Euclid Avenue in the Uptown/ University Circle neighborhood. We still had plenty of yahoos driving all around the city at the weekend in their pickup trucks, waving their flags. I passed a group of the clowns on a sidewalk in a west-side suburb on Saturday morning. It was like a cross between an old people’s home day out and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
We also have the pleasure of a bus load of ‘Proud Boys’ hitting town too. Hate these fuckers with a passion. Not only because they’re racist scumbags, but also they are the reason I can’t wear my Fred Perry shirts nowadays.
