My wife currently has Covid, would Biden suggest she drink bleach? No of course not.
Trumps a dangerous lunatic that the world would be a better place without him in charge....
You can see now very clearly that his treating of Covid has been part of a vote management strategy all along.
It’s absolutely shameful and should be criminal. I don’t know how it isn’t.
He’s used his own constituents as fodder. He all along wanted to encourage his base to vote on the day, Democrats and anyone who didn’t believe his view on Covid would vote early and by mail.

He then put whatever mechanisms he could in place to discredit and invalidate whatever mail votes did make it through.

His projection and lies reached the pinnacle of his plan last night with that press announcement. He has been setting this narrative up for months.

The GOP really should see the writing on the wall and step in. Because leaving Trump to his own devices this could get a lot worse for all Americans.

A 2 state lead would feel a whole lot more comfortable given how close many are. But a big PA lead also makes it fairly solid.
I would prefer all four (and it is looking like it might happen), given the margins, but only AZ/NV or PA are needed to be confidently projected for Biden to have a strong chance of a major outlet or three calling the race for Biden, which is what I was speaking of, and what we want to see.

The final EC vote totals will just help define how *much* of a mandate Biden can claim after he has already won the popular vote by a good margin (though, that’s not that surprising).

I'd say they were swayed by misinformation from social media sites and there was a lot of confused voters out there. In the main, Trump added more fuel to the fire when it come to racial inequity and has done his level best to divide the nation, not unite - Biden will at the very least not come out with ridiculous twitter rants and rhetoric that does more harm than good. You really should give it a rest as you have become so tedious on this and no one agrees with you.
So, because I'm not popping champagne for a lame duck presidency, I should "give it a rest"?

I'll tell you what, you go about your business and I'll do what I do.

I examine the future, not the here and now.

Which has been my argument through this entire election cycle.

The incrementalism bullshit will come to the fore with more and more new voter.
That's politics in the modern era though. Atlee was possibly the last politician here to change things for the better overall. You could argue that Thatcher also did but that she also made life worse for many as well.

Politicians say one thing one week, then do a complete U-turn the next, as we've seen. But most aren't completely unpredictable, with little or no regard for the truth. It is what it is. One day we might get back to politicians having integrity and being honest, instead of having only self-interest and/or simply toeing the party line, however illogical that may be.

Why get yourself worked up about it? We have to try to do the best we can for ourselves, our families and our communities.

I'd say - if I may - it's utter unscientific to proof non-'racist' behaviour of one person (e.g. Trump) by voting behaviour of other persons (who can have a variety of 1-issue voting reasons).
This, I can agree with.

However, they had the option of voting elsewhere or not voting at all.

Perhaps it even being an anti-Dem stance.

But, that would be bizarre to side with someone who hates you.

I'm just hoping it continues for a while longer purely so I can log into her in the corner of my monitor every once in a while.

I've put a fiver on the Dems at 7/1 in NC. He needs about 65% of what's left to count.
Probably wasting my money but the odds have already drifted in slightly so it might be interesting.

We shouldn't really be surprised that it's this close, given the engagement with US politics is pretty low from your average citizen in the USA.

Let's be fair, we in mainland UK are no further than 500 miles from our capital city, but in somewhere like Texas you can easily be more than 500 miles from the state capital, and over 1000 miles from Washington, DC. Their engagement with politics is local at best, and DC politics is a sideshow. More people watch the local weather channel than CNN.

Kevin McCarthy (R- CA), House Minority Leader, was in Laura Ingraham’s Show on Fox on Thursday night pouring gasoline on the fraud fire! Spouting the “I’m only repeating what I’ve heard, but....” conspiracy theories about mail-in vote count!

That's my desire for people and politics today doesn't do that.

The fact that you have lobbyists (in this case the in the US) that can easily work for one or the other main party just goes to show where the donor interests lie and why the parties are not so different.

It's bothersome that people only see the superficial as the reality.

So, the electorate...

Support for the Orange Gimp was 30% more from Muslim voters, the Black male vote went from 13% to 17%, Black female support for Biden down 8%. In Florida, Clinton held a 30%+ support which went to a Biden deficit of -5%, a swing of 35%. Whilst he still had support from the Latino/ Hispanic communities, his overall support went down.

How would you manage this data for talk of 'racism' for the 'current' president?
I’m not sure FL voting demographics should be used to make any meaningful points right now given they are heavily corrupted by the *actual* mail-in ballot fraud perpetrated by DeJoy and co.

Even beyond that, it’s very early to be using any prelim demo metrics to support substantive arguments (and that is a professional statement from someone with years of data analysis experience).

Also, I think there are other explanations for those shifts, including just simply people buying in to Trump’s grifting and lies.

Happy to see the back of Trump but like you I am a bit meh on the Biden selection and what he'll do for the US.

The first year of his tenure will be all about blaming Republicans for the mess, it wont be long after that the honeymoon period will become a nightmare as the democrats try to knit together a failed society so split by race, poverty and ideology that they themselves become demonised by a section of the American public.
