It’s been obvious for months that attempting to subvert the electoral college vote was on his list of contingencies if he lost the vote on 3 November. The one after that will be his attempt to get Congress to disqualify enough of the electoral college votes for him to win. It’s pathetic, entirely predictable and doomed to failure.

His best chance has already gone which was to suppress enough Dem votes along with hobbling the means of delivery (USPS). That failed and these latest attempts are just him thrashing about trying anything that might get as far as SCOTUS in the hope that his mates can rule that he’s won. No chance it will work.

On this Thanksgiving over here in the States (my favo(u)rite holiday), rendered sadly mother- and sister-less thanks to COVID but with my wife, kids and my wife’s sister here, I just want to say thank you to all the blues here on this thread not from America who were a regular sanity check on the craziness in my country every day. Thanks for easing the pain and the stress and as always providing moments of levity, which is among the reasons I love Mancs and Manchester so much! Glad that City has brought us together in a non-football capacity.

And if you’re wondering — turkey with gravy, cornbread jalapeño stuffing, mash, cranberry sauce, succotash and Dutch apple pie for dessert (afters). It’s a two pound gain minimum. And a nice California Pinot noir with dinner and an ice cold late harvest Reisling for post-meal relaxation by the fire pit. I have a LOT to be thankful for!
