I liked the idea that the server was in Germany and the data was compiled by some outfit in Spain. I was convinced.

Terrifying how much reach this nonsense has in today's world. Even had my landlord of all people telling me about this today. Not really the sort of person I can turn around and call a complete fucking fruitloop either, unfortunately.
