Worth repeating is the famous quote about Johnson being "probably the worst scholar Eton ever sent us - a buffoon and an idler" by Oswyn Murray his tutor at Balliol Collge, Oxford.

That's rather amusing. The flip side of that coin is that Oxford have quite a high bar for entry. I'd be quite pleased to have that moniker I think.
As an aside I went to Windsor Grammar School and our rugby team routinely beat theirs, not that I had anything to do with that.
As another aside Andy Weatherall (that's what I knew him as) aka Andrew Weatherall the music producer was in my classes at school. He was always the cool one.
