I do think Biden will win. I'm just not convinced that a Trump win can only happen by fraud.

We have known this was coming for years. McConnell calling the voters rights act a democrat power grab, Trump saying that if voter turnout went up thered never be another Republican in the White House, the recorded fundraiser from years ago where they promised voter suppression would be key in 2020.

The Republican Party cannot exist in a country that has normal elections with a healthy turnout.

Not a new thing though. Look at the election of Bush Jr when he made sure servicemen abroad ( mostly Republican) hade their votes counted and convicted fellons (largely black Democrat) didn't have theirs counted. I may have detail wrong - Michael Moor explained it I the Fahrenheit 9/11 book /film.

This Hunter biden story is a bit weird. It feels like the republicans are scrambling for another email-gate but they have pretty much nothing and are desperately trying to get anything to stick.
They also seem to be forgetting people aren't voting for Hunter, they're voting for Joe

The story - on face value - might well be true - it's plausible that former Vice President Biden could have used his influence to financially benefit his son Hunter.

And here, the role of the free press comes in.

The free press needs to ascertain the validity of any story it's going to publish - failure to do so undermines the credibility of any publication willing to print stories based solely on speculation.

That no major publication - is the New York Post a major publication? - has been willing to publish allegations against Joe and Hunter Biden - that social media has stepped in to ban/warn against such allegations - and that, apparently, several reporters at the Post refused to lend their name to the byline - speaks volumes.

Either:
1) The story is suspect and responsible journalists have been unable to verify its authenticity; or
2) There's a massive press conspiracy, suppressing the story since it depicts Biden in an unfavorable light.

I recently watched a video posted by, I think, "The Guardian" - a major, respected UK publication (explanation added for the benefit of non-UK members) - stating that 50% - I REPEAT AGAIN - 50% - of Republican voters believe in the so-called QAnon claims...

That is, that the US Democratic party is actively participating in a pedophile operation and that Donald Trump has been chosen by the US military to combat this degneracy.

"WTF" - fails to convey my astonishment.

Are Trump supporters - in general - so disconnected from reality - that a large percentage/most of them actually believe this?

Remember, Trump was essentially impeached over trying to get Ukraine to say they were investigating the Biden's.

They are desperate for anything, but I'm not sure the head of the FBI is willing to play the game this time like Comey did with the Hillary email scandal in 2016.
 
Good to see everyone calling each other cunts and telling people to fuck off. If any of you were eligible to vote in the US it might actually matter.
