You're looking to deeply into it. These court cases are simply a money raising exercise. The money isn't going on the legal fund, that's why these lawyers are going through the motions like that

Although his antics are nothing short of astonishing, he’s a textbook narcissist who is at the extreme end of the narcissist spectrum and so much of his behaviour is typical of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I’m far from an expert on NPD but I’ve learnt a lot about it in recent years as we have a narcissist in our family and it’s a fucking nightmare trying to deal with it. Some narcissists are clever fuckers and can pull the wool over the eyes of certain people who become their “flying monkeys” by turning on the charm and presenting a false persona of themselves. However, and I appreciate I’m observing him from afar and don’t know what he’s like in private, Trump doesn’t appear to hide what he is in any way and always comes across as blatantly offensive, totally dislikeable, and lacking in any redeeming qualities whatsoever. In short, he’s a ****. A narcissistic **** but a **** nonetheless, and I find it difficult to comprehend how anyone can warm to him.

None of the above is meant to excuse Trump for his behaviour. Being a narcissist, he totally lacks empathy so I’m fucked if I’m ever going to feel any empathy for him, plus they say that - unlike other mental disorders - we should never feel sorry for a narcissist.

Last I heard the money raising wasn't really coming to much, they still can't afford the recounts they say they want.

The best argument I have heard so far is from glenn kirschner, former DC prosecutor now on NBC, that this is a time wasting exercise designed to stop the Biden transition team having access to anything because when they get in place they are going to find an absolute shit show of crimes, neglect, conflicts of interest and some terrible numbers on just about anything.

I think @FogBlueInSanFran is overreacting a bit, I think everyone at play here knows the election is over and Biden won. The GOP are trying to undermine the Biden win they'll be fighting for the next 4 years, most of the worst offenders like Pompeo & Emily Murphy are all complicit in literal crimes and will need Trump to pardon them before he leaves office so they have to carry favour and then there's Barr who is just seeing this as an opportunity to fulfil his dream which is unlimited executive power.

Trump himself needs a way to justify this loss. His entire life he's blamed any set backs or failures on somebody else, and this is no different. The only way he can marry losing the election and his ego is if he was cheated.

Edit - I will say I think this is a massive mistake by the GOP. There was some talk of sweeping stuff under the carpet, moving on and forgetting Trump, letting the nation heal etc. The GOP have shown they don't give a shit about the nation healing and they are very much the pieces of shit that facilitated Trumps rise to power. It all swings on Georgia but I think not accepting the election will have hardened the will of a lot of Democrat staffers.

whilst its entirely possible that Trump will claim that what he has done for nearly four years is an expression of the American Presidency by means of performance art I very much doubt thats what we will get lol

The more coverage of this I see I think Pep should have said the only way City wouldn't win against Liverpool is if the refs are cheating. That way no matter what happens you can claim victory.
