Do you think that SCOTUS will want to overturn individual state decisions? I can't see them wanting to decide this.

Believing SCOTUS will overturn any State decisions, based on the grounds to date, is complete fantasy and is crediting Trump with far more guile and judgement than he possesses.

My thoughts too.
The damage to the country would likely be irremediable, and they won't want that.

I'd think that the fact that it will need at least two states to have loused up completely will mean that a single state being challenged will not be heard.

The one thing that motivates people in power, above everything else, is holding onto it. They would be completely mad to overturn the result based on the pitiful grounds to date. It’s completely inconceivable and would cause absolute mayhem on a grand scale.

IMO, The Guardian got this headline entirely wrong. Trump cut ties with Sidney Powell not because of anything she claims - in fact her message is spot on in Trump's thinking - but rather, because, she was getting too much publicity. Rudi couldn't stand not being top dog, and pushed her out.

Trump will stoop to any tactic to win a second term - hell, once Rudi assumed control of Trump's legal team, he put a halt to any legal argument made by Trump's lawyers that would not flip a state from Biden to Trump. Powell's outlandish claims are precisely the sort of argument that Rudi is pushing for.

In the article, it states voters "were cancelled by the system because they had failed to vote in two elections and hadn’t returned a postcard mailed to their registration address." The question about whether they should have been purged or concluded to have "moved" is an open one, but this isn't very specific. What did the postcard say? Was it an address verification?

They would need some evidence to start making progress and going up the chain to the SCOTUS. Is anyone going to risk perjury knowing that its 99.9% likely to be a Biden pick running the DoJ in a few months time. Anyone who fabricates some evidence at this point is highly likely to end up in jail. Without evidence its just useless posturing in courts.

Wow! I've talked before of my horror at watching the dismantling of democracy before our very eyes over the course of this thread; well, in truth, over the last year or so but I am still amazed and appalled by the brazen way that it is escalating. I fear for how this will turn out. If it were a movie I suspect that people would watch and think "Thank goodness it's not like that in real life": but here's where we are.
