I do believe that the Russians played a part in the current massive social divide between liberals and conservatives.

That said - the divide is real. Social media has created an environment in which you may tune into discourse that aligns with your beliefs - thereby reinforcing whatever you think regardless of fact.

I'm not at all sure how best to combat this phenomenon - but for the well being of mankind, we somehow, collectively, need to restore belief in science and fact as a basis for decision making.
