Looking at the stories further down the page on the Axios link it’s becoming clear that even his most loyal sycophants are contradicting him, presumably in a feeble attempt to distance themselves ahead of the inevitable investigations after 20 Jan. Barr, Pompeo and McConnell have all gone on record disputing his fraud claims and even Kushner is making himself scarce by staying in the Middle East. The only loyalists left are the complete loons. It’s like a cross between the last days of Rome and Hitler’s bunker in April 1945.
Barr has gone all against him as well , he must be seething

It's almost as though he needs to persuade people he actually is a patriot.
Similar to the US obsession with their flag (or equally guns), the more/bigger you have, you must be a bigger patriot.... rather than an insecure Qanon swallower
What's the occasion? I didn't think (despite fears) we'd had many incidents of "patriots" patrolling outside polling stations on the day.

As expected

US President Donald Trump has issued a number of controversial pardons in the final weeks of his tenure.

The list of 20 people who have had their crimes pardoned includes ex-members of Congress convicted of corruption, two people charged in the Russia investigation that shadowed his presidency, and four security guards who opened fire on unarmed Iraqis

Enjoying the meltdown.

I’m reasonably confident he will be unable to do anything too drastic that will affect the world even though he’ll undoubtedly try.
I concur. It was always going to end like this. I quoted “The Bishop Orders His Tomb at St. Praxed’s Church” by Browning like two years ago, a poem that neatly sums up the raving thoughts of an evil, formerly powerful narcissistic cretin on his deathbed as the darkness creeps in around him — Hitler’s bunker 100 years before it’s time.

There are elements of Nixon I learned eventually that made me at least a little sympathetic towards him, albeit very little. There are, and will be, none of those for this colossal douchebag.

I read the poem after you had quoted it. The things you get to be made aware of by virtue of Bluemoon.
